Chillin Hostel

Chillin hostel offers guests a travel experience with a unique atmosphere.

The property is over a century old and was built to house large multi-generational families, making it an ideal location for a hostel as co-living is central in its design.

Rooms on the first floor surround a patio that houses the open-air living room and gives access to the dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms.

Guests often prefer to socialize in the living room on the first floor as it's readily accessible, has three couches and a hammock, two coffee tables, and decorations inspired by Mexican cultures- such as bottle gourds, papel picado, and a wall featuring the different styles of sombreros from across the country.

The hostel is located right in the heart of Guadalajara in Colonia Americana. Colonia Americana is one of Guadalajara's oldest neighborhoods and it is located right next to the main historic district. Most houses were constructed at the start of the 20th century and have a strong European influence, with a generally baroque style in their architecture.

Apartment buildings, restaurants, bars, and shops are generally newer developments and tend to be built in contemporary styles. We prefer guests that are sociable and open-minded. We like to maintain a laid-back vibe and prefer people that are not too intense.

The hostel has multiple private rooms and two dorm rooms. Sheets and blankets are changed with every guest and the rooms are kept cleanly and cleaned bi-weekly. The dorm room on the first floor has wooden bunk beds, a fireplace, and a tall ceiling. The dorm room on the second floor has metal bunkbeds and isn't as large as the other room but it opens out onto the terrace so guests have easy access to the second living room, gym, and an area to hang out and enjoy the sunsets in.

Our private rooms are in multiple locations throughout the house and vary in size and design. Two have double beds and one has a queen bed. The kitchen is cleaned on a bi-weekly basis but we do ask that guests clean their dishes and maintain the cooking areas orderly.

We do like to keep the environment in mind at Chilling hostel so we have half a dozen solar panels on the terrace and they supply all of the hostel's electricity requirements.

We also have two water heaters that supply all three of the hostel's bathrooms with hot water.

We enjoy plants and the ambiance that natural settings provide so we have dozens of pots around the house and we have no issues with guests adding their own if they chose to have a longer stay.

Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 13:00 to 20:00 .
Check out from 06:00 to 12:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash.
