We were really looking forward to our stay at La Smala. However we were bitterly disappointed. When we walked into the room you could smell the dampness, and there was no way to air out the room. Red mould/ bacteria was growing across all of the walls. Then we found a mass of bugs on one wall and some in bed, around 50 bugs, possibly bed bugs. When we couldn't change rooms we asked for a refund and they eventually gave 40% back. Very dissatisfied with how the staff dealt with the situation.

Nice place, with good rooms the rooftop is wonderful with the restaurant where you can eat some amazing food, the service is great and the staff were lovely.

Beautiful hostel with lovely rooftop views. I had a very peaceful stay. The dorm pods are super super spacious, my favourite from any stay. Felt very private and comfortable. My only issues were that cleanliness could be improved - dust & hair along the sides of the mattress. There is no lift so its a fair walk up to the terrace, completely worthwhile. A few spaces to just chill in but not much atmosphere whilst I was there, more like a hotel.
