Hostel Marmota is a great choice for both - backpackers travelling around Europe and coming to Innsbruck for sightseeing, sport activities, adrenaline and partying, as well as for tourists coming to Innsbruck by car, no matter if they want to stay a few days, or are just passing by on their way from the north to the south or west to east.
Marmota Hostel is located in a quiet neighborhood in Innsbruck, only 10 minutes by tram from the Railway Station. Only 500 meters from the hostel you’ll find one of the most important Monument of the City – the Schloss Ambras.
Marmota Hostel offers a wide range of services including free WiFi, free luggage storage, and usage of summer terrace. Our guests will be delighted with our ensuite rooms and with their prices. We had a nice stay as we weee in Innsbruck for only a day, the staff was friendly, we had a late check in but it was all smooth and rooms were pretty clean as we opted for a private room. They had a simple breakfast but it was good and location wise it’s a bit far , around 25 min walk to the station and the old town.

The receptionist Ola was super lovely and helped me wherever she could, checked me in quickly and had some helpful tips about Innsbruck (both mountains and city). Will stay here again when I come back to Innsbruck!
The receptionist in the morning (Julia I think) was kind and easy to talk to, missed breakfast but worth spending a night here anyway.

Beautiful hostel - great amenities. Good free breakfast. No social atmosphere. IMPORTANT: when you arrive, ask for a welcome card/transit pass. For some reason the staff do not offer one - you have to ask. This happened to me and everyone in my room. I think this is unacceptable given the location is far from the city centre.
