Welcome to Property Goslar at the Harz Mountains. Here you will find inexpensive accommodation at the standards of a “Jouth Hostel”. We are located in an old area of Villas, only 5 minutes away from the central station and the city center.
History is visible all around Goslar, from well-preserved old houses to the Romanesque imperial palace elevated over the city.
Designated a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO, the ore mine at Rammelsberg has been closed since 1988, but now teaches visitors about the more than 100 years of mining that occurred in the Harz mountains.

The Goslar Hostel introduces a totally new concept : the no-reception hostel. Instead of a that, you shall call a voicemail or something whose number is given to you when you arrived at the main door. If you are lucky (unlike me), someone or something will answer your call and hand you over a code that you can use to access sort of a letter box in which your room key lies. In theory. In my case, I had to improvise. I used the bathroom and the small common living room since I couldn't get it.

Never go this place!!!
I came at the place in 19:00, and no one was there. No matter howuvh I called and knocked no answered. At the end I had to sleep on a couch I found inside the building, when my towel is my blanket. Do yourself a favor and never go there!

I will have scars for life. I ignored the reviews: Big mistake. Check in is a matter of luck. If reception is open when you arrive, lucky you!. If not, you have a phone number but the one listed online is from another hostel. You have to use the one on the reception door (just voice mailbox). While we waited another couple gave up and booked somewhere else. A receptionist showed up, but was unaware of our multiple messages. As our email notice, we're told "reading email is one of pending points"
