It wasn’t too bad. We arrived at the hotel and the staff gave us an upgrade in our room.
We got a bigger room but it was also on the very last floor. The stairs are SO steep that it was a little uncomfortable to go up and down (I’m also pregnant, so it was definitely a workout!).
The room was overall clean but the sheets felt like they had been there for a while. Expect noise. The people staying there weren’t respectful and arrived late being very loud. Overall okay but we wouldn’t stay again!

Good location, clean rooms street outside can get quite loud (was woken up to literal screaming at 1am on a Wednesday night). Only issue I would say is they kept 100 Euro as a hold fund for a couple of weeks which may not sit too well with some travellers.

We stayed at the Old Quarter for 2 nights in a private room.
Pros:
Overall, for what you pay it is what you may expect.
It is located in the heart of Amsterdam and very close walking distance to Amsterdam Centraal as well as other key tourist attractions.
Friendly Staff
Cons:
With the hostel being in central Amsterdam the room was not very quiet.
Our room did not feel very clean.
