Located in a beautiful, residential neighborhood, the International Student Center (ISC), is a landmark brownstone, located in Manhattan on the Upper West Side. As a small and centrally located hostel, you'll find charm, comfort, and convenience here. We are a ½ block to Central Park, restaurants, cafes, shops, and the subway. Museums, iconic sites, food markets, and other amenities nearby. Depending on your preference and budget, we offer several room types: mixed dorm style rooms, small private rooms, and a family/friends private suite.
Our newly refreshed common areas include: the Reception Room, Arts for PEACE Gallery, Lounge, Dining Area, Community Kitchen, and Garden.
We welcome students, lifelong learners, and world travelers, from near and far. One of the absolute best parts about staying in a place like ours, is getting to make new friends from corners of the world. Whether traveling solo or with a group, you are welcome here.

Good location and convenient to anywhere,but the facilities is a little bit old,and we can’t take our luggage to the room is also a problem.in general it’s worth to live here

Transport is fine, 5 mins walk from the subway.
One shortcoming is that during the cleaning time, one cannot stay there (in the room or the lounge), which means guests can only enjoy a limited staying, this can be a problem if one does not want to go out or has to work.
As a result, it is very clean(at the cost of a limited staying).
Very basic facilities (no hairdresser).
Overall, it is a nice experience. Would happily to recommend.

Not allowed smoked outside the street but avenue that you have to walk long. Kitchen is dirty. Bathroom is good for it's large. The MOST ALFUL and redicular thing is you can't take your big suitcase or backpack into your room but kept in reception, when you take or sort something the reception guy just in front of you, so where's your privicy!?
