Code Hostel - 334 King George's Avenue

We were family of four. Room very clean but ‘family’ room absolutely the tiniest room imaginable. Oversold as family room. Staff very friendly and can’t be faulted but owner needs to think about what he’s marketing. Only a 5 minute walk to Lavender MRT so pretty accessible

Clean place, almost too clean, if you are someone who likes to leave your belongings on your bed when you are out for the day, DONT STAY HERE. Everyday when they do the daily cleaning they will remove everything off of your bed and place it on the ground for everyone else to see and not put it back. Kind of sucks because the lockers are small, so you are forced to keep stuff on the shared shelves in the main area away from self. FYI there is only air conditioning in the bedroom itself.

I had a bad experience with this hostel. I paid the deposit by credit card via the website and was told I could pay the balance on arrival in cash. A week before I arrived, the hostel charged my credit card but the transaction was flagged by my bank so declined. I emailed the hostel and they confirmed I could pay in cash on arrival. However, the day of my arrival, before checking in, they charged my credit card again without my authorisation! The staff onsite were unhelpful when I queried this.
