Come experience the quality of a Hotel at the price of a Hostel! Dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, the building where today Serenata Hostel is located, was once the Instituto da Maternidade Bissaya Barreto and, later, the Conservatorio de Música de Coimbra. Meanwhile, the building has been fully restored and prepared for you.

The good energy of the space infects the guests and the team, providing a unique environment! Meet people from all over the world, enjoy our social spaces, and have fun in the surrounding bars. We are located in the heart of Coimbra, in Largo da Sé Velha (UNESCO World Heritage), being close to all the city's attractions. With a privileged view of the Se Velha, you can wake up in the morning, open the window, and contemplate this magnificent architectural work!

Just 1 minute away, you will find the University of Coimbra, the Machado de Castro Museum, the Almedina Tower and Arch, among other historical attractions in Coimbra. Explore the alleys of Alta and Baixa de Coimbra, surrounded by the sound of Fado, the serenades of Tunas Academicas, and performances by talented street artists.
The train station is 5 minutes away and there is a bus stop right in front of the Se Velha. We offer different types of rooms: dorms, double or twin rooms, and private suites. Common showers and bathrooms. All rooms have air conditioning and some are equipped with LCD TV and private bathroom.

Serenata Hostel Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 72h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 15:00 to 22:00 .
Check out from 07:00 to 11:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.
Taxes not included - 1% City Tax
Breakfast not included - 8 EUR per person per day.
