We have 9 triangular huts made of regional organic palm leaves. It is a unique glamping experience in the center of Bacalar, we are just around the corner from the central park. We have 4 shared bathrooms and they have hot water. The water in the shower comes out of a shell. We have a terrace and a common area.
We are located on 7th avenue between 20 and 22 streets in the center of Bacalar. There is an ATM, restaurants and shops in the same street and just around the corner is the beautiful center park. We are about 3 blocks away from the lagoon and 15min walk from the bus station.
The cabins have a simple organic design, a queen size bed and a mosquito net. Above the bed is a fan which can be turned on by a light switch. Behind the bed is a nightstand with 2 power sockets, light switch and a reading light. The difference from other hostels is that you have your own private hut. We have cleaning service.

We had a great time at the hostel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed. We slept very well in the cabins. The smell of the natural materials (dried leaves) is very nice. We liked it so much that we booked an additional night. Great value for money.

Lovely, restful stay. Juan was amazing, he made sure we were looked after and gave great recommendations. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, well equipped kitchen. Site and cabins are compact but have everything needed and beautifully finished. Would recommend!
Room for improvement: could add more relaxed seating options in common areas.
