You can relax in the guest lounge. The hostel also offers a guest laundry. 5 GB of free WiFi is available per day for guests.
Auckland International YHA is 1.5 km from Britomart Train Station and Viaduct Harbour. Auckland International Airport is a 25-minute drive away.
Our Front Desk hours are 9 am to 5 pm.
Check-in is from 2 pm onwards.
If you are arriving earlier you're welcome to store your luggage and hang out with us in our communal areas. Free WiFi, tea, and coffee! We recommend booking the night prior if you are arriving in the early morning, please check availability and amend your booking online.
If you are arriving after our Front Desk is closed, no problem! We will send you self-check-in information on the day of your arrival, or alternatively, we have a Night Manager who will be here to help you.
We do offer luggage storage (free of charge) on site, please ask our friendly staff at the hostel.

The guest can cancel free of charge until 1 day before arrival. The guest will be charged the cost of the first night if they cancel within 1 day before arrival.

Was in room 810. Very loud, couldn't get a full night sleep. 810 is next to the toilet, every time the toilet door was used it slammed waking me up.
Mold on bedroom walls.

The atmosphere in this hostel was awful. It felt like I was in a homeless shelter. The room was fine but the rest of the spaces were definitely not. The bathroom was really dirty and had a gross smell. The kitchen was really poorly equipped and filthy as well. Would definitely not recommend staying here.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL ON HOSTELWORLD. It's almost guaranteed that they will double book you. We were told we'd be refunded because they cancelled our booking on the day, but they quietly decided to charge us for the room they eventually managed to find for us despite not communicating having to pay anything after the amount they had messed us around. We also didn't get any opportunity to mention that we are YHA members.
