The Hike and Chill Hostel was created by an individual looking for a challenge. He wanted to create an economical and socially responsible property located in the southern Atlas Mountains in the city of Tinghir.
The house is contained in the heart of Tinghir old jewish quarter that is more than 200 years old. It has been restored from crumbling dirt, and now offers itself as a place for artists and culture to thrive. Featuring numerous vibrant murals on the inside walls, it is a most relaxing escape with the sounds of birdsongs and beautiful views from the rooftop terrace that look out over Tinghir main attraction, the communal garden, and also across to the stunning Atlas Mountains. Sleep on the terrace if you want, and witness breath-taking views of the night skies through crystal clear desert air.

24-hours front desk.
Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 13:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash.
Taxes not included - occupancy tax 2.5 EUR per person per night
Breakfast included.
No curfew.

For anyone planning on traveling to Tinghir, I cannot recommend Hike & Chill enough. During my stay Jamal went over and above in every way to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. He really makes it feel like he cares about his guests. He even went as far as planning my entire itinerary to hike Mount Toubkal two days after my stay with him. For to anyone tired of the intensity of some of the nearby cities (e.g. Marrakech), head to Hike and Chill for an authentic and personal experience.

Superb place to stay. I turned up a day earlier than my booking, but this was no issue. The host was kind very kind and helpful. The building itself is very lovely and i would have happily stayed longer. There are great views of the palm grove and mountains from the terrace. The host let me keep my motorcycle in a small garage next to the hostel during the hours of darkness, large bikes (BMWs) probably wouldn't fit. Fantastic breakfast too. 10/10
