Backpacker's Hill Resort

The man working their was so kind and helpful. It was good value for the money but the location was a bit off (10-15 minute walk from town). It was also very noisy in the mornings because of the dogs and roosters living close by.

This place is amongst roosters! The description saying it is away from the roosters is a lie. This bamboo huts would be idillic if it weren't for being kept awake by the noises of distressed roosters throughout the night. The walk to and from town is dark at night, would recommend taking a torch/light and wouldn’t do it alone. If you do stay, please be friendly to the little ginger stray cat that lives on the grounds (he is very vocal and will follow you around) - he just wants to be loved!

We enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was decent. The location in itself is fine if you don’t mind a 15 minute walk to the beach. It felt very local and hidden, they were reconstructing new lodges - there is a lot of potential in a already nice accommodation.
