Nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps, overlooking the picturesque Bad Gastein valley, you’ll find the Selina Bad Gastein. In summer ‘21 we reopened our doors with a fresh new feel complete with Selina’s signature upcycled design.
Just 5 minutes from perfect slopes, the best off-piste, hiking trails, cycling routes, and archery, our picturesque 19th-century building is right at the center of the action. As well as accommodation options to suit all travel styles, on-site features include a pool with a view, a restaurant, a beautiful coworking space, and a bar, perfect for unwinding with a cold beer after a day of exploring.
Start your day stretching out at a wellness session before exploring the best of Bad Gastein. Travel back in time as you wander the same beautiful streets that emperors, kings, artists, and poets once walked while experiencing the young creative energy that is so unique to the area. Back at Selina, get productive at our cowork space (don’t miss the incredible view!) and grab a nutritious bite from one of our three on-site restaurants. Take a dip in the pool, check out our curated calendar of events, and as the sun sets, head to the bar and connect with our community of locals, digital nomads and travelers from around the world.
*We charge a mandatory wellness fee of 3€ per guest for the entire stay. This includes the use of our swimming pool, wellness rooms and saunas.

This is the most amazing hostel, you walk in and it doesn’t feel like a hostel at all. The facilities are great it’s the perfect place to unwind. They have comfy beds and the hot pool was awesome. We got there 3 hours before check in and they allowed us to use all the facilities while we wait. There is a steep walk up to the train station but it’s a beautiful view.

Best hostel I’ve stayed at!! It is a hotel so the rooms were really nice and you also have free access to the pool/sauna which was great. The location was close to the city center, but it was a little walk to the railway (since the city consists of steep hills). Overall really pleased with service and cleaning!

What a place!! I only stayed for night, passing through Bad Gastein, but I still had time to enjoy all the amazing facilities - the pool (which is included and truly amazing), saunas, free yoga classes in the morning, great kitchen etc. The location couldn’t be more central. The staff was super helpful and gave me recommendations on shorter hikes to do. Might be a little hard to meet people unless you’re lucky with your roommates but it’s still definitely worth booking a night or two at Selina!
