Mad Monkey Gili Trawangan is in a small island off of mainland Lombok, just an hour and a half east of Bali. Our beachfront property is situated and nearby convenient stores, bars and beach clubs, Mad monkey is on the sunset side and you get to catch those perfect cotton candy sunsets and epic beach views. There are no motor vehicles allowed on the island so most visitors walk or cycle around and is

The toilets were extremely dirty even after cleaning. The showers are in the same room as the toilets so disgusting when you just want to take a refreshing shower. Bathroom facilities smelled really really bad and strong. The staff pretended to be very friendly and social but it was just annoying and you could see right through it. The music was too loud during the day as you could not have a normal conversation.
The dorm was pretty clean and the AC worked nicely.

Really social and fun hostel. it is a bit annoying its the other side of the island so factor that in before you book, but its about 30 min walk so not awful. Staff are very fun and lots events each day/night.
Toilets were not the cleanest and the pool is not very clean/nice either.

Would definitely never come back again - the staff make you feel uncomfortable, pressure you to drink more than you need to and make women feel objectified. The music is always blaring too loud especially when people just need to relax during the day, and is just s**t tunes. Very unsafe for women with so many drunk anonymous men around coupled by an irresponsible drinking culture. If wanting to get molested is your vibe go here ðŸ‘ðŸ¼
