As a highly rated hostel chain in Sri Lanka, Hangover Hostels Arugam Bay invites travelers, surfers and sun worshipers to immerse themselves in all what Arugam Bay has to offer, while staying at the hostel which offers secure, modern, clean and comfortable living spaces.
We are known as the hostel for good vibes and meeting like mined travelers in a cool atmosphere.
Our Concept is simple; It is “affordable luxury accommodation”. Super comfortable beds with fresh linen, Free WI-FI, AC in every room, hot shower, individual lamp/USB/charger, big secure lockers, friendly and helpful staff that all contribute to ensuring a great stay.
***Property Policies & Conditions:
1. Cancellation policy: At least 2 days advance notice for free cancellation.
2. Check in from 14:00 - 22.00.
3. Check out before 12:00 noon.
4. Payment upon arrival by cash and Card.
5. Curfew before 24.00.
6. NO smoking in Room, but have smoking. area.
7. Age restriction: 18+.
8. Reception working hours 07:30-22:00.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially with any information regarding transport, also good location close to the beach

Ok place, extremely close to Baby Point for morning surfs and the rooms have good AC.
However it’s pretty dirty, poorly looked after and badly served when compared to other Hostels in the area.
When I arrived I found the yard / communal area covered in rubbish and generally quite run down. In the evening the staff got drunk and we’re unable to provide a good service.

Great stay. Host organised many activities for nights in and out. Right on the edge of the beach is a massive plus as well.
