El Hostalito Hostel is a boutique hostel inspired in the Mexican culture. Stay in one of our rooms, which are named after the most paradisiacal places of the Rivera Maya. Every day we organise different activities for our guests such as: movie night; beach day; bar nights and pool parties for you to have the best experience!
We are located in one of the most privileged locations of the city, near to some of the finest and most renowned landmarks and tourist attractions of the city such as Mercado 28, Zona Hotelera and Planetario Cancun, amongst other interesting places and elements that you can visit across our city.
We have 3 privates privates rooms (2 of them with private bathroom); 6 dorms of 4 share beds, 2 of them with balcony and 1 is a female dorm; 2 dorms of 6 share beds. All rooms have air conditioner, lockers and WIFI and bathrooms with hot and a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook your own meals.

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival.
Check in from 15:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 12:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.
This property might pre-authorize your credit card.

No outside alcohol permited.
If you pay with a credit card 10% bank commission is applied.

The reception service is open until 11 pm.
We do not accept customers younger than 18 years of age.
The maximum period of stay is 14 days.

Dirty and stinky bedsheets, tiny rooms with no appropriate ventilation (it's boiling hot and the moist is sickening). Staff is not helpful and couldn't care less about your comfort, they won't help you sort any issues with your room. As soon as they have your money, you're on your own and they won't give any refunds even though they are not providing the service you're paying for.
Honestly, avoid this place even if it's cheap. They shouldn't even be allowed to host people, it's disgraceful.

During our night at El Hostalito, we only slept two hours. We were attacked by bed bugs, and their sh*t was in the bed. Totally unacceptable - and having read reviews, it seems to have gone on since august, without them having done anything about it. The management didn’t seem to care.
Also, the kitchen is so disgusting. The hygiene of the place is 1/10. The beds… you sleep on the racks. I wouldn’t advice anybody to stay there.

BEDBUGS !! Even though the staff was welcoming, the amenities and especially the room were really disappointing. As other commenters said, the hostel is cute from the outside but once you check in, you can easily see the dirtiness of the bathroom, and the worst of the worst, bedbugs. I complained to the front desk, but since the manager was not here for the check out, there was absolutely no help offered, apart from an apology. Strongly recommend to find another place to stay if you can.
