El Jacal Backpacker is located 700 meters from the Plaza de Armas of Huaraz, offers free Wi-Fi connection in all facilities and free private parking. It also has a 24-hour reception, kitchen for shared use, luggage storage and courtesy transfer from the Bus Terminal to the property. It also has a terrace overlooking the mountains and laundry service for an additional cost. Our rooms have a modern and urban design. Most rooms are exterior and bright. They have been meticulously soundproof and decorated to the detail to offer you a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. All of them have the most complete equipment to ensure the best comfort conditions. All rooms are comfortable decorated with typical products of the area, providing an environment in harmony with nature, as well as a 32 'flat screen TV with local cable service, work table with two chairs, reading lamps and bedside tables, as well as some seats to leave the backpacks. Both in the private bathrooms and in the shared bathrooms there is hot water 24 hours a day.

Generally good, with a few features that let it down. Staff were lovely but sometimes difficult to find, not being at reception. A cleaner came in to clean our room without knocking while we were still in there in bed. Our room was also only a plywood sheet away from the office, where staff often were after 22:00, sometimes these staff were louder than we would have liked and this did disrupt our sleep. Bed linen smelled clean but the quilt had the odd stain on it. The balcony view was beautiful

Excellent place, great hosts. Nice building with plenty balconies and nice kitchen on fourth floor. Comfortable beds.

El sitio está bien, la habitación muy espaciosa. Pero el techo del baño estaba lleno de mojo negro/verde y olÃa bastante mal. Un riesgo para la salud
