At Kona Beach Hostel we strive to offer our guests the best experience while staying with us. Our staff members are very friendly and can provide you with information about the Big Island so you can make the most out of your experience in Hawaii.
We are located in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona, steps from Kailua Pier, numerous bars, restaurants, shops, farmers markets, and numerous beaches. We are only 2.5 miles from the famous Magic Sands beach, directly across the street from Honls beach, and a 20 minutes drive from world famous snorkel, scuba, and hiking locations including Captain Cook trail head & monument, Two Step Bay, and Kealakekua Bay.
Our facilities include co-ed and female dormitories as well as private rooms, a fully equipped communal kitchen, shaded common areas to talk story, a BBQ grill, a laundry area, and Wi-Fi.

The owner is very rude to customers, when it's time to check out she will tell you to get out of her hotel immediately

Very poor value for money. Owner of the hostel was very rude when I showed her the dried blood on my bedsheets. Read the terms and conditions before you book, as there’s a charge if you only stay for one night.

I think this is a great alternative to the expensive hotel rooms. I met some truly great people here and overall i'm happy with this spot. It's a 10 minute walk to the best bars in town and plently of other attractions near by. However, i'd recommend a car since the island is so big. With that being said parking is an additional 10 per night. Overall I had a good stay.
