The hostel is mainly focused on providing budget accommodation and experiences for young travellers. It is an excellent place to meet other travellers and there is always something happening. We run budged Northern lights tours, and other activities throughout the year.
Tromsø Activities Hostel is set in the Historic city center of Tromsø. Close to all the main sights of Tromsø. Polar museum, Arctic Cathedral, Fjellheisen (Cable car) and right in the city center, we provide a perfect base to explore the area.
Our hostel is a mix of new and old, with home built beds and furniture. Comfortable and wide bunk beds. 24 hours automatic door lock for the front doors. 4 Simple kitchens for basic cooking. The two buildings are themed in colors reflecting the Arctic sky, with one building colored in the colors of the Northern lights, and the other themed for the never ending sunset of summer.

Check in from 16:00.
Check out before 12:00.
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.

Convenient to go to the city center or take bus to the airport.
Warm place with a dog named Burger. There are actually two houses in this hostel, and the blue one might be better than the grey one ^^ anyway I made good new friend there!
Will definitely come back to Tromso…

This hostel is perfect. The staff naoko is very friendly person . When I come the hostel. I found I lost my bag at the airport bus. And naoko spent more time help me call the bus company and call the bus driver. And the found my bag back. NaokO thank you very much!
Hostel the northern night is amazing. It’s cheapest one and best one in the town. Don’t ask me why?Because I also join in another tour.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, reasonably-priced hostel in Tromso. The hostel is small so there aren’t that many people, but the ones you do meet are generally very nice, interesting, and looking to socialize. The hostel is close to everything you need (including some 24/7 7-11s which comes in handy), and you can always just chill with other travelers in the common room. Staff members were nice and helpful. If the rooms had lockers it would be a solid 10/10.
