Cozy hostel and the staff were lovely.
The room was clean and cozy, it is small but I didn’t find that an issue.
The location was good- close to Odawara station and nearby shops/restaurants. But to explore Hakone it was a bit further out than I anticipated, but I was able to do so anyway (& this is more a fault of my own research than the hostel).
There wasn’t much of a social vibe but there is a cozy common room which could be made use of to meet others.

Miya was incredibly warm and helpful, made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. She was able to assist with coordinating transportation and recommending the best tattoo-friendly onsen in Hakone. Loved my time in Odawara and it was an easy train to Hakone for day trips. Ended up extending a secondary night bc I enjoyed it so much. Comfy beds, calm vibe, cutest lil nook to hang out in. Not overly social but did meet a few other travelers and allows you to fully unwind after a long day
