Hostelworld guests often compare Stayokay Amsterdam Oost (Zeeburg) to a hotel, saying it?s spacious and clean and serves a very highly praised breakfast of ?eggs, cheese, ham, freshly pressed orange/apple juice? and more. Visitors tell us the hostel ?has excellent tram and bus connections and all the main attractions are on the same tram line?, putting it about 10 minutes by tram from the very centre of Amsterdam. We like that there is a reading light and power socket at each dorm bed, with decor that?s been described as ?beautiful and modern and...well taken care of?.

The hostel is located to the east of the city centre in a quiet, typical Amsterdam neighbourhood. Amsterdam's historic centre is less than 15 minutes away by bike or tram. Stayokay Amsterdam Oost has its own café-restaurant and shares the premises with a number of interesting neighbours, which means that there's always plenty to do, if you stay here.
The bedrooms are all spacious and feature private sanitary facilities. All standard rooms have bunk beds.
Good to know!
- Breakfast is not included, but you can book it separately or buy it at the hostel. Breakfast is against payment of € 9.95.
- You will be given bed linen upon arrival to make your own bed. Towels are not included. These can be rented at the hostel for € 3.50 per towel (or you can bring your own, of course).
- Padlocks for the luggage lockers can be bought at the desk (or you can bring your own, of course).
- Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please read our Things to Note below before booking.
-Tourist tax of 12,5% per night of the cost of the room, is not included. Please pay upon arrival.
- Stayokay and Hostelling International members do not receive member discount on this booking.
Stayokay Amsterdam Oost is a cashless hostel. You can pay contactless and with all major bank and credit cards. It is not possible to pay with cash in our accommodation.

Although it doesn’t locate in the center of the city, there is tram. Very clean room and nice staff, no kitchen because there is a bar and restaurant so if you would like to cook your own meal, not convenient on this point. Good place to stay, recommend.

Creo que lo que más le gusta a nuestros huéspedes es nuestra calidad y precio. Las habitaciones son limpias y seguras, hay conexión Wi-Fi gratuita y se sirve un desayuno gratuito cada mañana. En nuestro bar puedes conocer a otros viajeros y jugar una partida de billar o dardos. El albergue cuenta con un servicio de alquiler de bicicletas, que es la mejor manera de explorar Ámsterdam! Nuestro personal tiene mucha experiencia y está siempre dispuesto a ayudarte a encontrar las mejoras cosas para ver y hacer en la ciudad. En recepción tienes disponibilidad de toallas, entradas para museos y atracciones turísticas, billetes de transporte público y la tarjeta City Pass para moverse por Ámsterdam.
En los alrededores del albergue hay algunas cosas interesantes para hacer y ver. Por ejemplo, hay un cine justo al lado y un molino de viento típico holandés que es un punto muy bueno para hacer fotos. Pero lo mejor es una fábrica de cerveza que hay justo al lado, en \'Brouwerij\', donde elaboran su propia cerveza local y, por supuesto, puedes probarla allí mismo en su soleada terraza.
Si te apetece algo cultural puedes dar un paseo por el Real Instituto de los Trópicos (Tropenmuseum), donde hay exposiciones permanentes y temporales de obras de arte, fotografías, música y cine de culturas no occidentales. ¿Sabías que en Ámsterdam viven personas de más de 180 nacionalidades diferentes?
Nuestros huéspedes son de todas las edades, en los cinco años que llevamos abiertos hemos recibido a huéspedes desde cero a 88 años, aunque la mayoría tienen entre 18 y 30. Nuestro edificio también tiene ascensor y hay varias habitaciones adaptadas para personas con sillas de ruedas o necesidades especiales.
