St Christopher?s at the Winston has been recommended by Hostelworld staff as ideal for ?anyone who wants to stay close to the Red Light district and coffee shops?. This ?very exciting? hostel was voted the most popular in Amsterdam at the 2011 Hoscars, and it?s not hard to see why; it includes a bar, beer garden and smoking area, with discounts on food and drink in the bar downstairs. There are daily walking tours and free ear plugs, plus an elevator?an uncommon feature in Amsterdam buildings and useful for carrying heavy luggage.

St. Christopher's at The Winston is right in the middle of all the action Amsterdam has to offer! The Red Light District is just outside our back garden, We're a 5-10 minute walk from Central Station, and we're 1 minute from Dam Square. The hostel serves up a rocking bar with a beer garden.
There is a continental breakfast available every morning for just €7 a day which can be purchased at reception on arrival, and free WiFi runs throughout the building. All guests receive 25% discount on food at our lively Belushi's bar and restaurant, plus 2 for 1 drink deals!
We have a fun, diverse, international crew; many of whom speak multiple languages and are travellers just like you. They are happy to help you plan trips and book tickets for onward travel, and there is a free walking tour that picks up from the hostel and a pub crawl that passes through our bar each night.
Party or relax in our on-site Belushi's bar and restaurant where you'll find cool tunes, sports on TV, a pool-table, great food and drink promotions all year round. On our bar menu you'll find hearty and healthy food, including the best burgers in town, tasty salads, towering Nachos, killer spicy wings, and luscious wraps. And to make things even better; all hotel/hostel guests get a 25% discount on the entire food menu! In regards to drinks we have 2-for-1 promos on Corona, Vodka, Whiskey, Rum and Gin. Also look out for 2 EUR Jaegermeisters and 1 EUR Apple Sourz shots.
Because of everything mentioned above only people over 18 years old are allowed.
There is free Wi-Fi running smoothly throughout the entire building.
Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00. We have a 24-hour front desk and secure coin-operated luggage storage that can be used before check-in and after check-out (max. € 6 / 24 hours)
Group bookings of 10 people or more need to be requested by email. We reserve the right to cancel group bookings which are not made in this way.

The hostel has a perfect location where you could walk couple of minutes to reach tourist sites. However, if you’re a light sleeper, make sure you use the earplugs they provide you, midnights in Amsterdam are filled with party noise. Btw don’t book with this platform, the hostel provide free breakfast as gift for those who booked on their official website.

Very good location and confortable stay, but no public area and storage of luggage before or after check in requires momey.

One of the things that makes our hostel unique is that we invite various upcoming designers to decorate each of our rooms with weird and interesting themes. None of our rooms look the same, and you could be sleeping in a movie-themed room, a psychedelic room or even a sex-oriented room!
We have a very interesting team here at The Winston, with staff from several countries, in several age-groups. It's a nicely mixed bunch of people.
We have the Red Light District in our backyard and lots of coffee shops, restaurants and crazy little shops are around us. Add to that a bar and a nightclub which are in our building on the ground floor, and you have all the ingredients to have a great time in Amsterdam. If you'd like to relax or see the interesting sights in Amsterdam, most options are on walking distance or a few minutes by tram.
