Aloha, welcome to The Seaside Hawaiian Hostel. For over two decades, we have been the spot for backpackers and travelers who are looking for an easy-going and laid-back atmosphere in Waikiki.


Step outside of our gates and you will find yourself mere minutes away from all that Waikiki has to offer– city exploring, world-class restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and of course, the world-famous Waikiki Beach. But while you're within the walls of our property, you'll find nothing but peace, calm, and the best vibes.


Due to health and safety permit laws in Hawaii, we are not able to serve food but we encourage you to visit ALOH Cafe for healthy food options, acai bowls, lattes and drinks. At night, the cafe transitions as a bar for all of our company’s hostel guests to mingle. Hostel guests receive an exclusive discount on the entire menu. The best part is that it is only two stores down, come join the party!


Location:

We're located centrally in the Waikiki neighborhood of Honolulu. We are also 2 short blocks from Waikiki beach and walking distance from everything else in Waikiki like surf spots, dining, shopping, parks and endless nightlife options.


Directions:

To get to us from the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, take bus 19 or 20 to Kuhio Avenue (about an hour ride) ride and we are about a minute walk from the stop. Please note - we do not offer onsite parking. However, there are overnight garages and street parking in the area.


Staff:

Our on-site staff is available to help you with travel recommendations and guiding you through Waikiki nightlife. It is our priority to make you feel at home and have an impromptu friend along the way. Feel free to stop by at our front desk to say hi!


Dormitories:

All rooms and dorms have ceiling fans. There are mixed and female-only dorms, all with their own shared ensuite bathrooms. We kindly ask that you remove your shoes upon entering to keep our dorms as neat as possible. Our on-site staff cleans the dorms daily, and we have a professional cleaning crew that deep cleans weekly.

Quiet hours:

To accommodate our guests who like to wake up early, we start our quiet hours at 10pm. After quiet hours, meetup at ALOH cafe to pregame and go with the group to the next destination.
