Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse is a multi-award winning hostel in the centre of Hobart, in the historic village of Battery Point. Owners, Antony and Rose, live onsite with their daughter Eve, cat Mrs and Miniature Bulldogs Lily and Tuxi.
Montacute has private queen rooms, private bunkrooms, shared bunkrooms and girls-only bunkrooms. All beds have excellent quality mattresses, hotel-quality cotton sheets, woollen duvet/doonas and blankets, and a towel. Every bed also has a reading lamp and power point.
Montacute has a large kitchen, sitting room with log fire, lounge halls with sofas, dining room, BBQs, deck, balconies with mountain views, garden with picnic tables, coin-operated laundry and bicycles for hire.
Montacute has FREE PARKING and FREE WIFI.

Sorry to feedback so late cos I have just finished my journey. I spent a fantastic short stay in Montacute during traveling around Hobart! I was staying with a lot of nice guys I must to say everything is perfect there . Beautiful mountain views I can watch the sunset on the balcony. Wonderful kitchen you cannot imagine how tidy and clean there! I really want to stay there for a month if I had enough time. Thanks for the hoster they are kindness and always patience to help us!

Great hostel. Everything is close by, parking onsite, hot shower and fully equipped kitchen if you want to buy groceries and cook for yourself. Should have used the laundry there when I had the chance as you can only wear the same clothes for so many days!
