All of our rooms have cable TV, telephone and a private bathroom. They are cleaned on a daily basis and you will find them to be very comfortable.
We also have a Little sun terrace on the top floor. Free WiFi is available at the lounge as well as TV, Radio and some coffee amenities.
If needed we also have a small fridge at the reception that you can use to keep any of you things.

The location of the hostel was very good. Close to the sea and basically in the city centre. With the price in mind, the room itself (furniture etc.) would have been totaly fine, but the bathroom was super moldy, which was a no go for us! On top of that the night security guard was unfriendly and even a little scary. If I would have stayed alone (we were a group, males and females) in this hotel, I would have felt unsafe.
Allthough I have to say, that the staff during the day was very friendly.

If a different search engine brings you here for booking you may think that there is free parking available(like it happened to me).
The reality is that there is one single spot available in a secure parking lot (which is good) for 5 euros/night (which we found out on the spot).
You may want to arrange this beforehand.
Other than that, the staff was friendly. If you are in Funchal to explore Madeira then the room is fit for purpose, comfortable bed and a great local restaurant across the street.

My friend and I booked a triple room - luckily no one else booked at the same time because the bunk bed was wobbly to say the least… extremely tight quarters and the lock boxes are smaller than a carry on. Very nice patio to ourselves which was a plus but definitely bot enough to go back.
FYI - if you plan on having a car parked at this hotel let them know ASAP!!! It says there is hotel parking but it is literally ONE spot and if it is taken by another resident then you’re pretty much SOL.
