Hotel Kastoria - Thessaloniki

The only thing good about this place is the location within central Thessaloniki. Hotel is not clean. The biggest problem is that the staff were trying to take advantage of us, saying that they didn’t see our reservation and then asked us how much we paid. When we told them, they said “for that price, you can’t possibly have this room” and tried to bump us down to a room without a bathroom. We argued that our reservation says that it has a private bathroom. We ended up having to pay €25 more.

It was better then i expected!

The room was not very clean, stuff smeared on walls, things left behind the cabinet from previous guests, moldy shower floors, dirty remote controls, etc. The staff was not very friendly, the person who checked me in argued with me about my vaccination card and the dates because they are US and not European format and then just dismissed me to my room. The day person called me a taxi a couple of time but seemed annoyed. Other than that, it was a good location, lots of options for food.
