Casa Qatzij - Lake Atitlan

Casa Qatzij is a lovely oasis of calm on Lake Atitlan - more of a guesthouse than a hostel, Andres and Veronica are great hosts and we felt very welcome and at home here. The house, rooms and garden are all nice, comfortable and well equipped - although the kitchen was sometimes a little dirty/messy during our stay. San Lucas is a gorgeous unspoiled town with a great beach and very few other tourists - definitely worth a visit!

A gem on Lake Atitlan! The staff were wonderful. There was a communal, creative atmosphere. The rooms were clean and the main area has lots of space to relax in. Great experience.

Such a gem of a place! The property is located behind a giant steel gate that you need a key to access so I felt very safe there. The property is very close to a park that has a ton of street food to offer every night. If you’re not into street food, the manager had great, close by restaurant recommendations ready to go. He also had a long list of nearby activities/excursions to experience as well! I was super happy with my experience there and plan to come back in the future. Also, they have a laundr
