TL;DR great spot for cheap hostel dorms/shared rooms if you’re an international traveler; only ideal for U.S. travelers on weeknights
Pros:
* super nice and friendly staff
* mattresses, pillows, and linens are super comfy
* not a ton of competition for showers and bathrooms
* decent locations
* super affordable
Cons:
* the included breakfast is just peanut butter shell eggs and bread — you do all the prep work on outdated equipment in an old kitchen
* street noise and weirdly hot at night

I’ve been travelling solo for a year and this was one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had. Such friendly staff, great homely vibe. Taco Tuesday was very fun and the common room is the perfect size to meet people or just chill in the corner. Highly recommend!! (Lots of stairs though lol)

I had a great time here. I met great people, the staff is great and the place is kept clean. The hostel is perfectly located. It’s a safe area and it’s a great starting point for exploring the city. I would definitely stay here again.
