This was a great hostel but I needed help booking a hiking trek for mount etna and the staff didnt seem to know much information for the tours they were offering, I ended up being booked on the wrong tour which kind of ruined my birthday as I wanted to do lots of hiking. Instead I did hardly any and was in a car for most of the day. The whole reason of coming was to hike mount etna so was quite dissapointed! Staff need better training on the tours.

The property was great, bunk beds were very comfortable and really big. Fitout was nice and the bar downstairs was excellent. Staff were all very helpful, it was a great stay.

I can't wait to go back to Catania so I can stay at the Yard! It's in a great location, really close to Via Etnea and via Gemmellaro, which has a bunch of restaurants and bars for the evening. The hostel is super clean and newsly renovated. It has a great chill vibe. The place is beautifully decorated. There is a bar downstairs but you can't hear any noise from the rooms upstairs. The staff was very welcoming and available. The beds are bigger than a standard single bed and super comfy.
