Small, clean, quiet hostel. The staff is friendly and the location is good. However, there are no evening activities or a large common area to enjoy. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend the night, this is the right place.

This is a very small hostel, so it's more like a B&B, but with shared rooms. The location is good, I think. Very close to the steps up to the castle, and in a quiet, nice area. Much of Bled was very noisy with plenty of tourists, loud music, and the like. The bed was made already, which is rare for hostels in general, and that I appreciated a lot. Barbara was a great host, very friendly, and ready to provide the information needed to have a good time in Bled. A big plus is that there's a kitchen

We stayed in Hostel Smolej as a family in the 4 bed dorm in August. The hostel is clean and really well situated, but the best thing about it is Barbara, who is a fantastic host. She went well above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and sheâ€™s a font of knowledge on Bled. Thanks Barbara, we had a wonderful stay!
