And of course the possibility to enjoy the organic food that we grow locally.We provide the possibility to interact with animals and enjoy nature authentically. Our farm provides extensive ecological spaces for yoga, physical activities, camping, pure relaxation and other.
This is the best location to get to know the Imbabura province without travelling far: volcano Imbabura and Cotacachi. Yahuarcocha, Cuicocha, San Pablo, Mojandas lakes and Peguche waterfall. We also provide trekking tours and you can get to know our traditional indigenous culture; such as traditional weddings, shamanic culture, native food and drinks such as chicha, a sugarcane based distilled liquor.

it was okay, but a bit disappointed, i thought i can buy dinner to try their traditional meal but it is not available, i am wonder why these dinner photos were available on the website. the property doesnt have any hot water either, but the host was friendly and helpful. its a good place to stay do nothing and enjoy the countryside life, but a bit boring do nothing. there were not many guest and they not interested to speak english either.

El Tio is fantastic! A little secluded hostel outside of Otavalo by about a 10 min bus ride, located on a little farm tucked into the hills below Vulcan Imbabura. So many animals! Very friendly staff! And beautiful location. Highly recommend.

El Tio was everything I could have asked for and more. A little bit difficult to find at the start and a nice walk up through San Juan de Iluman and I was able to find El Tio’s shop before Tio himself walked me to his place - an easy 5 min walk. The property itself was sweet and I was welcomed by Jorge, Tio and the ladies who worked at the property. I loved my stay so much in the friendly hands of Tio and the other guests. Short bus ride to Otavalo and Cuicocha Lagun. Thanks Tio and family!
