Perugia Farmhouse Backpackers

I feel that the farmhouse itself is beautiful, the spaces and dorms are clean, and the area is quite lovely. We had a car so getting to the center was no issue for us. I feel that this place has a lot of potential to be more comfortable for guests. The owner was kind but in all of my interactions with her, I felt an energy that she was a bit rushed or stressed when speaking. I am not writing this to judge, but rather just to reflect on what I noticed. I was making breakfast in the kitchen at around 11 and was hurriedly asked if I could eat outside or not be in the kitchen so that their staff could clean. I understand this, and I understand running a business and needing sometimes for guests to be out of the spaces, but the way in which it was presented to me came across as a bit hurried, rude, and I felt quite uncomfortable, like I wasn’t allowed to be in a space that I paid money to be able to use. In hospitality, I feel it is important to be, well. . . hospitable . . . Especially with family owned places. I felt like the whole interaction felt a little bit transactional. I understand that the hosts have a family and are very busy and so I can only imagine how difficult it is to juggle that with running the B&B. Location is goregous but quite difficult to get too, theres a shop down the road but sells the basics which is completely fine! The doors dont get locked at all and there's no lockers to keep bags in so felt a little uncomfortable leavjnh stuff there when going walking all day, for the kitchen there's one hob so cant really cook unless youre cooking everything in one pot and there arent any near by restaurants/cafes unless you go all the way back into town! But great to just relax and enjoy the scenery
