Cable Beach Backpackers was a pretty good place to stay. Strict No BYOB policy - a girl had an unopened wine bottle (to drink elsewhere) removed from her room by maintenance. Seemed most people were staying long-term. Few signs saying things like "No complaining" or "Don't expect more than you pay for" made it a bit unwelcoming. Entrance is not secured, but still felt safe being out of town (and in Broome). About a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, which was great!! City bus is easy, $4 t

One of the best hostels I've stayed in, such a good vibe. Great staff great atmosphere. Free town shuttle bus twice a day weekly

Same price as all Broome hostels but probably better! Seems secure as has cameras and reception location keeps and eye on visiting people. Location a short walk to the beach but this means far from the town. Atmosphere is quite good althoug I was here just before peak season. Hostel is clean with modern kitchen and bathroom.

We had problems with the manager. He didnt want to listen to our problem. When we explain it he just walked a way. And because of that they canceld or free shuttle. They say if you think it is a bad hostel you dont get your free shuttle. Also the kitchen is not clean, lots of ants. I never had problems with people or hostels but the staff here is really rude.

For me it is to far off the town. The public transport takes you there for 4 AUD oneway. I actually booked a 4 Bed Dorm and ended up in a 8 Bed Dorm with air con, which started at 9 p.m. and didn't make much of difference during the night. Broome was so humid that I would have been happy about having an air con working as well during the day. Because the room was worse than outside. The staff was very friendly. The pool I couldn't use. They offer Flakes & White Bread with Jam for breakki.
